“In a rapidly moving market, ensuring a pension scheme pays the right benefits to the right people at the right time – all within a robust financial control framework – remains paramount. A Professional Trustee should focus on that goal.“
Raymonde Nathan is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute (PMI) and an elected member of the PMI’s Advisory Council. With over 30 years’ experience across all areas of pension scheme management, he brings a combination of deep knowledge, front-line experience and leadership skills that will enhance any Trustee board. He has a strong pensions industry profile, having run groups with a major UK consultancy that have won several awards, including Trustee Training Provider of the Year.
Raymonde’s experience spans both defined benefit and defined contribution arrangements, including authorised master trusts. He has been active with the Society of Pension Professionals, sitting on the defined contribution committee, where he took an active lead on matters with the Department of Work and Pensions. This work included important initiatives such as the recent auto enrolment review and the simplified benefit statements project.
His trusteeship style is pragmatic and collaborative, looking to build highly effective relationships with his co-trustees and scheme sponsors. Raymonde believes that this strength in forging strong partnerships is the key to a well-managed and governed pension scheme.
